MATEC has
the capability to provide extensive assistance to its customer: from
project conception, design engineering and implementation to
after-sales repairs, maintenance and operator training.
In power generation, it was
actively involved in the rehabilitation works of the Malaya and
Sucat Power Plants of National Power Corp. Together with its
subsidiary Trans Orient Overseas Corp. (TOOC),
MATEC has a proven track record in giving support to both its
customer and principal in project management, manpower deployment
and logistical services.
Since the early 80's MATEC has gained the experience in the turnkey
installation, commissioning and after sales service work of base
load diesel generating sets in several islands of the
Philippines. It currently handles the operation, maintenance and
service of diesel gensets providing 12 MW of temporary power to
Southern Electric for their Sual Power Plant Project.
MATEC has the expertise to design, engineer and
render construction supervision for a complete power substation
including erection works of steel structures and the installation
and commissioning of accessories. It makes full use of the skills of
its Filipino engineers who offer value-added service to imported
equipment through local fabrication works at its switchboard
manufacturing corporation (NI), installation supervision and
commissioning as well as after sales service, maintenance and repair
work.
Process control system is the trend in modern
industrial and commercial plants. MATEC has
highly trained process control engineers capable of designing
application software for micro processor based process controllers,
installing and commissioning process control equipment and
accessories plus application software and hardware fault detection
and correction. It can also provide full operator training for its
customer's personnel.
Complementing MATEC's activity in the electronic automation
field, Philippine Electronic Industries (PEI), a wholly owned
subsidiary of MATEC, offers warranty fault
detection repair and calibration services for users of Tektronix
testing and measuring instruments. Filipino technicians who
underwent extensive training abroad perform these services utilising
instruments certified by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology. Services for its customers also include classroom,
formal group or individual training seminars conducted by highly
trained sales engineers.
The communication field has long
been one of the company's major fields of endeavor. Due to MATEC's service philosophy offering the customer
turnkey installation and after sales service fully supported by
service personnel trained abroad as well as sparepart management,
MATEC became the leading supplier of PABX in
the early 90s. Its service capabilities range from repair, service
and maintenance of airline reservation systems and Gentex systems to
emergency call boxes as well as simple telephones.
